Aruba

We are going to Aruba. We are meeting our friends there. I can't wait!! It has been three years since we went there. Our friends from here and Chicago are meeting us there. We are staying at the same house. We went ATV riding last time and wears doing it again. We rent Jeeps and ATV's. We go to the beach and do a lot of fun things. 

Christmas

We had a nice Christmas!  We were at my grandparents last night and my other grandparents today. My grandpa bought me Anki Overdrive.  I love it. We got Guitar Hero for the Wii U, headphones, gift cards and a lot of other things. It was great!!

Holiday nights

We went Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village. We go every year. I went into the old schoolhouse. It was the actual school that Henry Ford went to. I even sat in the same seat that he sat in. There is a seat where you get sent to if you get into trouble. They had to wear a hat that was called a dunce hat.  I have a picture of my brother and I sitting in the seats. My mom said that she had school for a day in that building when she was in elementary school for a field trip. That would be really cool!

IMAX

We went to see Star Wars in am IMAX. It was really cool. That should work great in an IMAX and in 3-D. We went with a big group and it was a lot of fun. I like the movie a lot better than I thought I would. I like that new droid a lot.  It was called BB 8. 

Break

Today was a good day at school. I am so happy that we started our break. I had my saxophone lesson right after school with Mr. Jackson.  Tomorrow we are going to go see Star Wars and the IMAX. Sunday we are going to go to holiday nights at Greenfield Village. It will be a fun weekend. 

Grandparents smartphone

We just bought both of our grand parents smart phones. It was really funny this week because my grandpa sent my dad a text. We did not ever think he would actually text.  He is old and more old-fashioned. The really funny part ways he asked my dad a question in the text and my dad answered. Then my grandpa replied with Ty. We were all cracking up laughing. We could not believe he texted but we were shocked that he knew to text Ty for short of thank you.  I am glad that he is using his phone and learning the text abbreviations.

Science car kit

I have a car kit from science works. It is called balloon racer. I dad and I are going to work on it tonight. I hope it works. It has wheels on it but the rest is made out of cardboard. You blow up a balloon and put it at the end and dad is going to set the car off to race. 

Star Wars

We are going to the IMAX this weekend to see Star Wars. We pre-bought our tickets. I like that we are going to see it in an IMAX in 3-D. I am just a so-so Star Wars fan my brother is a big Star Wars fan and so is my dad. I think that the movie will be good though in 3-D. We are going with a big group. Our friends that are going to Aruba with us next week are going to this movie with us. Trevor, William, and Kenny are coming. They are my friends that are in seventh grade and go to Berkshire. It will be a good way to start our winter break!

My grandparents

My grandparents are coming over today. I have to hurry up and try to get my homework done. My grandpa and I usually play ping-pong or just together. They live in New Baltimore. That is about one hour away. I am going to probably stay there for a couple days during our break before we go to Aruba. We always go to their house on Christmas eve. That is also my grandpa's birthday. Then we go to my other grandpa's house on Christmas morning. coincidently that is that grandpa's birthday. My grandpa's birthdays are on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Last week

It is the last week before break. I can't wait. Friday will be really nice because that will be the last day. We are also going to have our holiday party at school. I think it will be a good day. I am going to probably stay at my grandparents house for a couple days next week. Then we are going to go to Aruba!

Weekend Writing-Update and Talking Point

Day 3 bookclub

Amanda went to the Virginia Company to ask when the next trip was going to Jamestown. He told her next month. She told the man that she and her brother and sister would like to go to America to be with her father on the next ship. He told her that she would need money. She went to Mistress Trippett and asked for the money. she yelled at her and told her that there was not any money. Amanda said I know you have the money that was in the purse around my mother's neck.  Mistress Trippett said that she used that money to pay her mother's doctor and for them. She yelled at Amanda and was mean. Mistress Trippettended up fainting and Randolph  her son kicked Amanda, Meg and Jeremy out. Now they are alone outside in the night.

Discussion topic for next book club

I couldn't believe that Mistress Trippett was so mean and took their money. Amanda and her mother earned money and she didn't pay them either. I felt bad for her. Now they are alone without money. How do you think they will survive? Do you think they will be able to go on the next trip to America?

TGIF

I am so happy that it is Friday. TGIF!  I am not sure what we are doing this weekend. My neighbors are coming over to play in a little bit. It seemed like a long week at school. I am happy for the weekend and hope it is fun. I am so glad that we only have one more week of school before the break.

Anki overdrive

I am really excited about getting the Anki Overdrive. Overdrive is the newest model. The Anki drive is the older one. Overdrive, they updated the cars. The track is different too.  It is a magnetic track. The starter comes with a track but you can always buy more and add onto it. I don't think you can do this with the Anki Drive. They also fixed some bugs. I think it is going to be very cool and fun. Especially if you like videogames and slot cars like I do.

Lionel train

We have a Lionell train around our Christmas tree. It is pretty cool. My dad had it before I was even born. I had to change the batteries this year. It is a figure train. Lionell trains used to have a factory where they would make them by where my mom grew up and where my grandparents live now. They would have factory tours on how they would make the trains and you could purchase trains there too. They do not have that factory at that location anymore. I wish it was still open so I could do the tour.

Hover board

I have been really looking at hoverboards this week. I really want one for Christmas. There are so many to choose from. They are all very expensive. The least expensive one we found is around $300. The brand that I know people have the most and see around the most is Swagway.  I really hope I get one!

Weekend

We had a really nice weekend. My friends from Chicago came and stayed here for the weekend. My other friends came too. We went to airtime on Saturday and it was fun. My friend Jacob stayed the whole weekend.  We will all be together again in three weeks in Aruba.

I am proud that I write every night. I am also proud that I am trying to write at least five sentences every night this year. I try to write about different things that I do and that I am interested in.

I am proud that I am writing a little bit more this year. I am using more transition words. I am also proud that I am making my stories a little bit longer.

I am going to try to write more stories for my at home writing. I usually write about things that I do like a journal.  I will start to try to make a few that are more short stories.

Tent

My friends are sleeping over tonight. We are sleeping in a tent. They came in frim Chicago. We played the Wii U and had mega nerf wars. We are having fun. 

Aruba

We are going to Aruba the day after Christmas. I am very excited. The people that we are going with are coming into town tomorrow. They are going to spend the night. We are going to play watch movies and have fun.  I cant wait!

Buck

We always have deer in our yard. They are usually does. They roam in our yard with their babies. Sometimes the big Buck roams around alone. Yesterday, we had a young buck in our yard. It had small antlers. It is cool to have all the deer at our house. 

Swagway

My cousins asked for a Swagway for Christmas this year.  I think it is pretty cool. You have to balance on a motorized board. Our friend Josh has one and his mom brought it over for us to try yesterday. My brother and I used it just in our house. It was a lot of fun. It comes in all different colors and there are different brands for different prices. Josh's cost $400.  It is a lot of money but I think it is really cool!
